Although these cashew nuts are described as "Supreme Roasted Cashews" I had to wonder how this title related to the actual size of the cashew I was ordering and if there was any actual sizing standard for raw or roasted cashews. The closest definition I could find for a "Supreme" size cashew nut came from an Indian cashew nut supplier which listed a "Supreme" size cashew nut as a W-210. What the number W-210 means is that there should be approximately 210 whole cashews per pound. After carefully measuring and counting the cashews I received in my one pound package using a calibrated digital scale I ended up with approximately 192 cashews per pound which means they are technically larger than a "Supreme" cashew by definition. If you are looking for a big cashew at a reasonable price then this "Supreme" cashew is what you are looking for. Since these cashews are processed in the country of Peru it is possible that this country has a different sizing definition for a "Supreme" cashew than the country of India. Still fresh and yummy and worth the premium price!
